Random Video Chat — Talk to Strangers Worldwide
Free, anonymous, one-click video calls with people across the globe. No download, no sign-up.
▶ Start chattingWhat is random video chat?
Random video chat is a format where the platform pairs two users into a live video call at random. There are no friend requests, no profiles to browse, no algorithmic feed — you press a button and within a second you are face to face with a real human being. Don't click? Hit "Next" and the system finds someone new. It's like having a dial that turns the entire internet into your living room.
Ruletta.live uses WebRTC, an open browser standard that allows video and audio to travel peer-to-peer, directly between the two participants. The server only helps you discover each other; it does not relay your media (except in rare NAT-traversal cases). The result: low latency, less infrastructure cost, better privacy.
How Ruletta.live works
- Open ruletta.live in any modern browser.
- Allow access to your camera and microphone when the browser asks.
- Press the green "Start" button. The matching engine pairs you with another online user.
- Talk. When you're done, press "Next" to move on, or "Stop" to leave.
No download, no plugin, no registration for anonymous calls. The site works on desktop and mobile — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.
Friends and private messages
Most random chat sites end the moment you press "Next" — the person is gone forever. Ruletta.live is different. While you're in a call, you'll see an Add friend button next to your partner's video. Tap it, and they receive a friend request popup. If they accept, you both gain a friend who you can talk to again later.
- Friends list with live online/offline status, sorted by the most recent activity.
- Private messages — open a draggable DM window by tapping a friend's card. Messages persist on the server, so closing the tab doesn't lose history.
- Unread indicator — a red dot on the Friends button and a highlight on the friend's card when there's a new message.
- The DM window floats above everything else and is movable with mouse or touch — chat while you keep meeting new people.
Friends and DM require a free account (email or Google / Yandex). Anonymous random calls don't.
Country filter
On the home screen there's a country selector. Pick a specific country to only match with users from that region — useful if you're practicing a language and want native speakers, or if you simply prefer talking to people in your time zone. Leave it on "Any" for fastest matching.
Moderation and safety
Anonymity is a feature, but unmoderated anonymity becomes a problem fast. We balance the two:
- Report button in every call. One tap captures a screenshot of the offender and sends it to the moderation panel along with the report.
- Screenshot-based moderation. Our admin sees the actual frame at the moment of the report, not just a text complaint — decisions are faster and fairer.
- IP bans, temporary (24h) or permanent. Banned users get an immediate notice with the duration.
- Rate-limited reports to prevent griefing.
Basic rules: 18+, no nudity or sexual content on camera, no harassment, no scams. Full text in our Terms of Service.
Privacy at a glance
- Anonymous calls require no registration. We don't know who you are.
- Video and audio are not recorded on our server. They go peer-to-peer between browsers.
- Screenshots are produced only by users via the Report button, for moderation purposes.
- HTTPS is enforced site-wide; the browser only allows camera access on secure pages.
- For Friends/DM accounts, your password is stored as a bcrypt hash; login uses signed JWT tokens.
